Kiwanis of Weston and Weston EMS presented an automated external defibrillator (AED) to Weston Town Hall as part of the HeartSmart program. Nisan Eventoff, HeartSmart program coordinator for Weston EMS, will provide training on the operation of the AED to town hall employees.

This award goes to Tim because of his involvement both here and around the world in helping others, specifically in the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Costa Rica and Ecuador. Closer to home, he has been involved for six years with Earthplace, the environmental organization in Westport. The Kiwanis Club recognizes his extraordinary service to this community and his example to others.

Apr 28, 2007 Westonite Margaret Wirtenburg is the third recipient of the Millie Best Environmental award

Dr. Wirtenberg, pictured below filming Speak Up, was instrumental in developing the town's conservation plans and spearheaded the effort to start up an annual Hazardous Waste Collection day, held in conjunction with Green-Up Day.

Apr 21, 2007 Kiwanian, VP of Programs, Rob Weiss, Gil Sanborn and Captain Erin Miller of the the Army's 2nd Brigade Combat Team (the "Dagger Brigade") of the First Infantry Division

Westonite Gil Sanborn discussed activities he has coordinated to help support the Dagger Brigade, and Capt. Miller, returned the Weston flag to the town that was flown overseas.

Mr. di Ruiter recently donated the log splitter to the club. Splitting and delivering firewood provides wood to those in need and to raise funds for philanthropic causes.

Mr. Rauh's group is committed to building a nonpartisan grassroots movement of citizens who support voluntary public funding. A film crew from Public Broadcasting System (PBS) filmed the speech for a documentary.
